The capital Chora (pronounced Hora) is on the top of the hill overlooking the port of Agios Nikolaos. A municipal bus travels from the port to the capital six times a day. There are two village squares where one will find a few places to eat and drink the local fare. There are twelve taverns to dine on the island. Hora is built in the traditional Cycladic style where roads are very narrow.
